Make a Music Video Team Building

Make a Music Video Team Building

Give your team the best team building event ever

music video team building, team building, make a music video. pop video, rock videoThat’s a bold statement I know. But we stand by it. Our Make a Music Video team building event really is awesome and your team will love it just as much as every other team has enjoyed it too.

The essence of the event is that the teams design a section of the video and really make it their own. They can base their ideas on the lyrics of the song or a recent work project or anything else that fits. They think about acting, props, wardrobe and choreography. Sometimes they even record their own vocal parts.

They then rehearse it up and get ready for the shooting.

Here our professional film crew film them as they create their mind blowing. world altering music video scenes.

Once those are completed we just need the choreographed ensemble scenes to be shot and then it’s a wrap.

Whilst your guys hit the bar to share memories from that experience our film crew get to work editing the scenes to create the polished end result.

You then get to keep that finished music video so you can prolong the effectiveness of the event as your team relive it and share it with other colleagues.

That aspect makes the longevity of this event much greater so you will feel the benefits longer into the future.

Plus it’s ridiculously good fun!

Here’s a video from a recent Christmas make a music video team building event.

Of course, this isn’t just a Christmas event. You can run a Make a Music Video team building event any time of the year. We can use any song and theme it around whatever your event is so it’s very adaptable to fit each occasion.

Here’s a music video team building event that was earlier in the calendar and therefore has nothing to do with Christmas.

If you would like to speak with us about a music video team building event, or any of our other great music based corporate events, just get in touch and tell us what you need.

Line Dancing Energiser and Ice Breaker

Line Dancing Conference Energiser or Ice Breaker

Try something different this year and make your delegates shout yeeha!

What is this talk of line dancing at a conference?

You might be familiar with our popular Thriller dance event that works as a very effective conference energiser, ice breaker or team building session. But although that is one of our most popular line dancing, country, conference, ice breaker, energiser, team buildingevents, getting down like a zombie isn’t appropriate for every occasion.

But fear not, there is more than one way to dance. And that’s why we offer our popular dance event in different genres so we can cater for your crowd.

We use the same winning format that we have used for thousands of people in the Thriller event but we tailor it to different styles. This allows us to break the ice, getting everyone engaged and on-board for some fun outside of their comfort zone. We then start learning the steps and rehearsing them up towards the big performance finale.

We have run our events for a large number of well know brands such as Mars Wrigley, John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Tiffany and many more. But we also cater for smaller groups and often work with much smaller companies.

And that is the beauty of a dance or singing event in that we are using out bodies or voices so we can work with small groups up to several thousand and the event still works just as well.

And because the events are so effective whilst also being very uplifting and fun, we consistently get great feedback such as:

The event was amazing, brilliant and faultless. We could not have had a better experience. Every colleague I’ve seen today has thanked me for organising it and I’m so pleased that we could do this. It was simply the best team building experience this staff team has had in the 9 years I’ve worked here. Brilliant – thank you.” Joe and all the staff at INPUT Pain Management – St Thomas’ Hospital

And,

“It was perfect! The facilitator was brilliant and everyone really enjoyed it as well as taking something away that we will use in the future. We couldn’t have asked for anymore and we will definitely recommend The Rock and Roll experience to others!” Ellie Steel – HR Co-ordinator/PA – Zenergi

So if you want to take advantage of our Thriller, Line Dancing or any other style of dance for your next conference, simply get in touch to tell us what you want. Then leave it to us to create something that your delegates will remember for all the right reasons.

Conference Energiser 2018

Conference Energiser 2018

Make your 2018 conference one to remember….for the right reasons!

We all know that keeping all delegates engaged through long conferences is one of the biggest challenges. Sitting still, listening to people speak all day is a struggle even for the most focused minds and even with the most interesting of topics. We are simply not designed to sit and be talked at for long periods of time and if you don’t break that up people will switch off. And at that moment conference energiser 2018, team building, confrence, energiser, away day, musicyour message is lost in the air. If you know that already you’re probably desperately searching for conference energiser ideas right now.

This is why we are called upon to deliver conference ice breakers and energisers to keep those energy and engagement levels high throughout the day to make sure your key messages are remembered and don’t send people to sleep.

“I loved how different it was from anything we’ve done before or anything that’s available elsewhere. I liked working with your booking team on building the event and found the whole process really easy. You guys took any pressure away and delivered a fabulous event on the night.” Amy Moore – RSA Group

Our conference energiser 2018 offering is stronger than ever with event options that are unique so you can avoid people feeling like they’ve experienced it before. They also have scope for us to tailor them to your event so we can incorporate any key messages or themes so the whole day feels consistent and ties together seamlessly. And of course they will get your delegates pumped up, energised, buzzing and in a moment where they have achieved something special as a group to create a shared positive experience.

This will make your overall event much more effective and optimise the whole effort.

We can deliver these in a time frame to suit you whether it’s a speedy 30 minute ice breaker or a two hour team building session. We can come in half way through the day to re-energise the group or deliver the session at the end to top it all off on a high and leave people buzzing and talking to each other about their shared experience.

These events have been enjoyed by big names such as:

  • Tiffany & Co.
  • KFC
  • Sainsbury’s
  • Boots
  • Asda
  • Ikea
  • RSA Group
  • Pfizer
  • Shell
  • Dairy Crest
  • GE Aviation
  • And many more…..

Our popular events for your conference energiser 2018 are:

The Rock and Roll Choir Experience

“It wasn’t just creating a choir, the energy and the way in which you engaged with the crowd was brilliant. Even on the toughest of days, you all managed to get most of them involved! I absolutely loved it every day! I only wish we had more than 45 mins!! Rebecca Nicholson – Retail Support Manager UK & Ireland -Tiffany & Co.

Our vocal coaches teach your delegates the harmonies for a famous rock song. We have scope to tailor the lyrics to your event and we have the pick of hundreds of songs so we can choose something relevant to your company or corporate message. Even the most reluctant singers get stuck in and enjoy the uplifting feeling when our expert facilitators have warmed them into it.

The Thriller Dance Experience

“I don’t want to lose the moment of praise so before I sign off for the weekend I wanted to say thank you. You took a last minute request in your stride and couldn’t have been more helpful. The event was a huge success and the team loved it and that was largely down to the choreographer and her lovely, bubbly personality – she is an asset to you and it wouldn’t have been the same without her. The team were a bit anxious to find out what they were doing but everyone embraced it and was surprised at how much they enjoy it. Overall a huge success and a great night had by all – thank you.” Hannah Eborall – Executive Assistant – LifeSearch

Our choreographers teach the moves to the iconic Michael Jackson dance routine. We have the option to include a zombie make over or just keep you looking like humans and enjoy the energy of the dance. Once again any reservations about the event soon dissolve and even the people with two left feet are surprised at how much they get into this and have a great time.

The Boomwhacker Experience

“The event was amazing, brilliant and faultless.

Using pitched percussion tubes, the boomwhacker experience shows the power of working together as we move through a fun rhythmic session which ends up as an orchestra performing a piece by Mozart. Nothing demonstrates how the sum is greater than the parts than working together to create a classical orchestra from a modest plastic tube.

If you want to book any of these events for your conference energiser 2018 then get in touch to discuss details.

Christmas Team Building and Party Ideas

Christmas Team Building & Party Ideas

Create a memorable Christmas party with our music events

Christmas team building, Christmas office party, ideasIf you are looking for something different for your Christmas team building and Christmas party this year then we might have exactly what you need. Our music based Christmas team building, energiser and Christmas entertainment events are unique, memorable and highly effective at delivering exactly what each client needs for their event.

All of the events are created bespoke for each client so that they fit your exact needs but they are all based upon our tried and tested events that we know will work perfectly. Below are some of our most popular options.

Rock and Roll Choir

This is one of our most popular events with good reason. The rock and roll choir is a high energy feel good event. It can work well with large groups as an energiser or with small groups for a longer team build session. We can use a Christmas themed song or stay well away from that if you are already fed up with hearing the same songs over and over for two months! There’s even a chance to modify the lyrics and create your own version of a famous song.

It was such a pleasure to work with you all, the experience was fantastic and we have had nothing but widely positive feedback.” Claire Paterson – Retail Support Assistant UK & Ireland -Tiffany & Co.

Thriller Dance Event

This might seem like an odd choice but this is really popular as a Christmas event. Of course this is also very popular around October and November with the obvious Halloween connection. But we find that people wanting something different for their Christmas team building or party also love to learn this famous dance, get a zombie makeover and just generally let lose having fun learning some iconic Michael Jackson moves.

“Thanks so much for a great team building activity on Thursday, it went down really well and everyone really enjoyed it! Pretty much the whole team loved it, including those of us with no co-ordination at all haha… we had a few people who said it was totally out of their comfort zone and weren’t overly excited when we surprised them, but by the end of it they were loving it too!” – Rosie Allen, HR Advisor, Campus Living Villages

Make a Music Video

Our make a music video event is amazingly good fun and exciting whatever time of year. However, Christmas time allows us to create a Christmas themed music video with your team. What could be better? You can re-record your own lyrics for a famous Christmas hit song before planning and starring in your own music video. This creates an even bigger impact because everyone can watch the professionally edited video and share it with their friends and colleagues for years to come.

“Everything hit the mark in terms of both people having fun and coming together – the energy was good ! Thank you for making it a success!” – Alex McCulloch Project Leader, Ikea

Christmas Party Entertainment

As well as the Christmas team building and energiser events we create some very special Christmas parties each year with our live band the Right Hook. They take pride in making sure the dance floor is kept full all night. As well as being a great band we also have a totally unique after dinner event that we have created.

It’s called the rock and roll game show and it bridges the gap perfectly between dinner and evening entertainment. Here teams battle it out for prizes in a chaotic, whacky music quiz that sees your delegates on stage with the band, creating play-doh models and competing in air guitar solos. And we have a very special Christmas version that gets everyone competing in a festive game show that sets them up for the dancing that will follow when the band start playing.

“I have had lots of good verbal feedback so far, people loved the live band element because we’ve never had live entertainment before – I’ve never seen so many of them up on the dancefloor!  I think they also really enjoyed the quiz and you guys judged the atmosphere really well and went with the flow.  I will definitely be recommending you to everyone I know – you were really professional and I felt like everything was in safe hands and I could relax and actually enjoy the party too!” – Rachel Foskett – Kantar Media

“We were soooooo pleased with the way things went during the day and in the evening.  Everyone had a great time thanks to you guys! “ – Amy Moore, Marketing Manager – RSA Group

So if you want to discuss any of these options for your Christmas team building event or a Christmas party for your company team get in touch and we’ll help make sure the event is remembered for the right reasons!

Conference Energiser to Get Your Delegates in Harmony

Singing Conference Energiser

Our Rock Choir conference energiser is one of our most popular events for good reason. Quite simply – it works really well. We use this event for small groups right through to huge conferences. It works well as a two hour team building session with smaller groups and works equally well from as little as 30 minutes as a conference energiser.

The main reason it works is that we use the uplifting magic of singing to get the group working together to achieve a high energy, endorphin releasing outcome.

And so we’re really excited to launch our new showcase video below.

What if my non-singers don’t like it?

Every client asks this question because they all, understandably, have the same fear. But we have highly skilled vocal facilitators that warm the delegates up gradually starting with some fun (and quite silly) vocal warm ups before moving on to learning the song content. It is all carefully constructed so that even the least musical person in the group can follow, engage and share the successful result. It’s about having fun, being a supportive group and reaching the desired outcome of creating something special.

In fact the bosses at famous jewellers Tiffany & Co. had the exact same concerns and you can watch the highlights video below. These are non-singers and the session started with many apprehensive faces staring back at us. See if you can spot anyone in that room that isn’t smiling, taking part and having an amazing time at the end.

Here are some lovely comments we received back:

“It wasn’t just creating a choir, the energy and the way in which you engaged with the crowd was brilliant. Even on the toughest of days, you all managed to get most of them involved! I absolutely loved it every day! I only wish we had more than 45 mins!! Rebecca Nicholson – Retail Support Manager UK & Ireland -Tiffany & Co.

It was such a pleasure to work with you all, the experience was fantastic and we have had nothing but widely positive feedback.” Claire Paterson – Retail Support Assistant UK & Ireland -Tiffany & Co.

And also from  John Lewis:

“Just to say a huge thank you to you today, it was brilliant. The sessions were really fun and our guys seemed to get involved and enjoyed their singing!” Claire Gilbert – Regional Learning Facilitator – John Lewis

And Sainsbury’s:

“It was fab thank you- loads of fun. You got it just right on the amount of micky taking and who he could pick on which was brilliant!” Karen Zwager – Sainsbury’s

We could go on because the event gets such positive feedback but hopefully you get the idea. So watch the video below to get a feel for the energy and get in touch if you want to discuss how we can bring this or any of our other events to your conference or team building day.

Why team building is so important

Why team building is so important & how it can help your business

A lot of employees wonder why team building is so important and as an employer you will always be trying to find new ways to help your staff work more efficiently. Team building events are a great way to bring people together outside their usual working environment.

So what are the classic team building events and why do employers pick certain activities? But even more importantly, how do you prepare for one so that you put on a good performance for your staff? Most employers see team building events as a way to improve working relationships between members of their teams and as a positive step to improving employee motivation. But they need to make sure they pick the right event to ensure their staff enjoy participating in the activity and that it has a positive effect on the workforce. This is why teambuilding is so important.

Why team building is important, team building eventsSometimes these events can involve physical exercises such as abseiling down mountains or canoeing through rapids. These are all great fun but you need to make sure everyone within the company will be up for participating in such an active event that could be out of their fitness level and comfort zone. Other times you may choose more mental challenges such as completing projects against time and scoring points with quiz’s. This is more suited to everyone’s capabilities but some may feel its not as exciting and less memorable. These days the list of options is endless and it can be challenging just trying to decide what to go for. This is why you need to research it first and even have a chat with an event company.

The most common activity and most unplanned is an evening of drinks in your local pub. You may not see this as a team-building exercise, but your employers don’t just put money behind the bar for nothing. They’re hoping that you’ll use the opportunity to get to know each other so you can work together as a more cohesive unit. Whilst this can have a positive effect, it is often not as successful as a planned event where people are forced to work as a team to achieve a goal together. Having a few drinks once a month can be great for some social time away from the office but in reality it is not as successful in helping your colleagues achieve more professionally.

When choosing a team building activity you are trying to pick an event that consists of these basic points.

– Engaging
– Encourages Leadership
– Involves problem solving
– Shows staff confidence
– Shows determination
– Uses brainpower
– Shows your employee’s personalities

Be Bold

When picking a team building event why not go for something completely different? Something that will excite your staff and bring everyone together to create something memorable. At work, there is a hierarchy which we have to conform to but on a team building day, if run properly, everybody is equal and having fun.

Team building activities are often met with scepticism and are frequently stereotyped as being cringy, dull, clichéd and out of date. But fear not, the Rock & Roll Experience is here to help. And we specialise in fun team building events!

We take the time to listen to our customers to find out exactly what they want the event to achieve. Are they looking for riotous fun to reward their team? Are they trying to reinforce a key message? Whatever it is, we listen to that and work with them to incorporate it and build our event around it.

We find that every organisation has a different need and requirement. Every client knows what makes their guys and girls tick. Every work group thrives on different things. At the Rock and Roll Experience our event coordinators always ensure that they establish the company’s needs and tailor each event to meet that requirement. We always ask our customers what their goals are and what they wish to achieve and take away from our events.

“Seems we will be calling on you again real soon. The fact we want to use you again says it all!!” Claire Chilton – GE Aviation

Our friendly and personal approach enables us to work closely with our clients to ensure that we deliver an engaging, unforgettable and fun team building experience that really connects you to your team and drives the workforce in a positive way to promote team work and unity in your workplace. Weather you are looking for just a few hours, half a day or a whole day, the Rock and Roll experience can cater for any need.

Team building checklist – team building planning tips

Simple Team Building Checklist

Team building checklist tips to help you plan a team building event

If you are looking to plan a team building event for your company, you want to ensure that you book something that is fun and engaging but also fulfils its purpose and has a positive effect on everyone involved. Here are a few simple steps for you to think about before you begin your research with our team building checklist.

Team building checklist, team building, events, corporate events1. Identify company needs

The first question you should ask yourself is, “What needs to be improved in the corporation and what do you want from the team building activity?” If you can establish this in the first instance then you can target your search for activities on the most effective options to achieve the desired result. You need to ensure you are aware of the aims and outcomes of the chosen team building event before you start researching the different types of events.

2. Budget

Most team building companies are flexible with their pricing and can change the event to help accommodate you. So it does help to be forth coming with the amount you are willing to spend so that they can help you find an activity that fits in with your costings. Most team building companies have a variety of different activities and events with various pricing levels so there is something for everyone.

3. Venue

Perhaps you have a favourite luxurious hotel in London or, depending on the event you choose, you may wish to have the activity take place at your premises. In a lot of cases the team building company can organise the venue for you or are happy to just guide you to get the right venue and ensure you have thought about the logistics for the day. Just remember to think about the size of rooms, layout,  location, accessibility for staff and potential AV equipment.

4. Agenda

Its always good when planning something for your staff to write up an agenda and programme for the day. It will help prevent you from forgetting anything but also these types of events do tend to run over so its good to have a timescale of what you would like to happen and when you would like your team building to start and finish. The team building company will be there to ensure their part of the day runs smoothly but in between you may wish to have an inspirational guest speaker or a member of your management team talk about the success of the company and his or her views for the future. You will have lunch, tea breaks, etc so all of this should be taken into consideration prior to the booking of an event so you know how the day or days are going to run.

rock and roll experience 5. Talk to your staff

This is very important. If employees are asked for ideas then they need to be dealt with constructively. If the ideas are dismissed or ignored it tends to make people feel they have wasted their time or are not a valued staff member. Everyone will have different views on what they consider to be beneficial for the company and what they think will be a good team building event. Depending on how big your company is you may wish to have a few smaller meetings with each team leader to establish everyone’s views and ideas. You can then take 3 of these options and request quotes from each company you have selected.

6. Open your mind

Finally be open minded because you may find that the majority of your employees want to go for something totally different to what you expected. But that’s ok because it’s predominantly down to them and if your staff are happy then you should be happy. Team building is an extremely important and vital part of any company. In recent years it has become more popular and has been proven to increase employee moral and positivity, which in turn will have a huge impact on the success of your company.

We hope our Team building checklist has been of help to you and will help you to book an amazing team building activity for your staff. If you would like to have more information about the events on our website then please Get in touch today for a no obligation quote.

6 Essential steps to help working together in the workplace

Working together at work is crucial

Here’s how to make it happen

Were put together 6 essential steps to help working together in the workplace and help make your office environment more harmonious. The concept of your employers working well together seems like an easy one, you all come to the same building, to work hard, to better yourselves professionally in order to earn more and progress in life; it sounds simple. However there are a few things that you can adhere to thus ensuring that the work journey for you and your staff is a successful one.

1. Respect Space

The first step to working together is ensuring that you respect one another’s space. If you are constantly stepping on your colleagues toes or being overbearing within the workplace you may find that the office harmony isn’t so great and that they don’t want to work with you. So always ask before entering a persons cubicle or office, be respectful and they will in turn do the same to you. It’s important that everyone feels like they have control of their work area.

2. Respect Time

The second step and also just as important as the first is respect people’s time. If you are allowed access to a colleagues work space try and refrain from discussing personal issues, unless they are also a friend and the conversation is not predominately work related. If not then stick to the point and be professional. Your colleague might be working to am important deadline and their time is just as valuable as yours.

3. Reward and Encourage

The third step to working well with your colleagues is to encourage those working with and around you to be as creative as possible. Also try to be appreciative of each other. Everyone is a valuable asset to the company and this appreciation will spur everyone to work harder for the same goal. So a pat on the back or a high five can really go a long way in ensuring everyone is working hard and feels good about themselves. As a manager or team leader you have greater control over rewarding those around you with bonuses or other perks, such as a day off, gym membership, or perhaps start a employer of the month system to help people achieve their work goals.

4. Take advantage of resources

Another good way to provide a positive atmosphere within the workplace is to ensure that all staff have access to training programmes that help workers become more efficient in their roles. More available resources make people feel more confident when doing their jobs and it gives them that extra support without having to constantly ask managers if they are stuck.

5. Be Supportive

Offering support in person to each person working with you or under you is something a lot of employers forget. It is important that the workplace maintains an open-door policy that encourages all staff to come to you with problems that they cannot resolve on their own. If you cannot help, you can direct that person toward the benefits or resources that can help them.

6. Arrange Fun Events

Finally, organise some team building activities for your company, as the rewards from high team effectiveness are well worth it. This is why team building activities really do help your business by enhancing employee relationships thus making your office environment a good one to work in.
If you are looking for a different team building event that will help your employees engage with each other and build a greater bond, then get in contact today for a chat or a no obligation quote.
