Working from home has increased since COVID forced it upon many of us. And whilst it can bring many benefits there are clear negatives that are appearing.

A survey from the Royal Society for Public Health found that,

“Home working is having an impact on people’s mental health, with 67% saying they felt less connected to their colleagues and 56% saying they found it harder to switch off. However only a third of respondents had been offered support with their mental health (34%) from their employer.”

But even without surveys and studies most of us instinctively know that we are losing out on that human connection which is very important for our mental health as well as a team’s ability to work effectively.

The team bond is weakened and those relationships can gradually dissolve. And this can negatively impact our ability to work well and overcome challenges.

Time to make noises you didn’t think possible!

The Beat Box Mania team building event brings the energy of urban hip hop culture to your work place. Here our beat box expert facilitator introduces your delegates to the hip and happening art form of beat boxing whilst displaying the fundamental skills needed.

Once your group have been taught these skills and, amidst much laughter, it all culminates in a final performance.

This is hilarious and ridiculous but simultaneously brilliant at getting the teams to work together to create the finished performance. Out of the silliness is borne a determination to pull together and succeed and the only way to do it is support each other and get creative as a team.

This can run as a short ice breaker or energiser session, as well as a longer team building event.

If you want to pair it up with a dance event, the Beat Box Mania team building session goes hand in hand with our Street/Commercial Dance Event as they both draw upon the same area of pop culture.

We can run this anywhere, get going in seconds and leave the room in seconds. It needs zero equipment except for a microphone and it’s suitable for any groups size and any duration from 10 minutes up to an hour. This makes it perfect for those conference sessions when a fast entrance and exit is required.

Our Rock and Roll Choir Team Building Event workshops can be a large or small group activity that creates harmony whilst providing loads of fun. It’s one of our most popular events, why? because its so much fun but it also really brings everyone together.

With our trained vocalists we will take the teams through some enjoyable vocal and rhythm exercises. Amidst much laughter, a journey of discovery is undertaken in which a harmonious, unified team is created. At the end they will be able to sing a popular tune as a choir group with surprisingly good results.

No previous singing experience is needed for these workshops. We choose easily accessible songs from the rock and pop world. This can be based upon the ethos of your company, a recent project, or simply chosen by us. Our choir events can run as a short ice breaker or energizer session, as well as a longer team building event which allow the delegates to write their own lyrics to a famous song which could be linked to your company or left open to their imagination.

Based outside the UK?

No problem, we have taken our events to Europe and beyond and are happy to come to you either at your chosen venue or we can even research and find a suitable venue for you.

We are used to dealing with 5 star venues on a daily basis and always work hard to ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day, so you and your team can have a truly memorable day.
